Play a crucial role in developing and maintaining actuarial pricing models and frameworks to enhance stakeholder understanding and support optimal risk transfer solutions. You'll have the opportunity to identify and implement innovative product designs and marketing approaches to elevate our value proposition in the market. Analyzing and interpreting data from various sources will be central to your responsibilities, as you refine pricing models and data analysis through software and coding to drive automation and efficiency. Building trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders, you'll effectively communicate results through reports and presentations. Additionally, you'll conduct investigations into actuarial assumptions to maintain the commercial position while upholding high professional standards. Your attention to detail in maintaining documentation of data practices will ensure accuracy and compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
They are seeking individuals who excel in delivering high-quality work autonomously and under pressure, with a continuous drive for improvement. Your ability to plan and organize tasks effectively, manage unexpected events, and communicate plans will be essential in this role. You'll demonstrate strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, anticipating and resolving common issues while analyzing information and considering alternatives. Your capacity to influence, persuade, and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, adapting messages to audience needs, will be instrumental in building strong internal and external relationships.
They should be either part qualified or nearly qualified with IFoA (or equivalent), with 4-6 exams remaining. Significant knowledge of general insurance is necessary, preferably with experience in the London market. A strong understanding of actuarial pricing techniques is essential, along with familiarity with the role of a broker. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in actuarial pricing within general insurance and be comfortable working in a stakeholder-facing environment or eager to develop in this area. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access is expected, while experience with SQL and @Risk would be advantageous, though not mandatory.
